The estate is located in Cocumont in the Côtes du Marmandais on the left bank of the Garonne. Elian's father grew tomatoes, cereals, tobacco and vines there, bringing grapes to the village cooperative winery. As a child Elian dreamed of being a winegrower and from the age of 14 he started studying viticulture-oenology. In 1997, after working for 5 years in Alsace, Elian chose to return to family land and build a winery there to make his wine. 1998 is his first vintage. The estate now covers 19 hectares of hillsides on a soil of gravel and clay-limestone. The vines have been organically grown since 2000 and biodynamic since 2002.
